Machine Learning at the Belle II Experiment

The student(s) will implement and test different machine learning algorithms on simulated data using low level features , high level features, and their combination aiming at disentangling backgrounds contributions from signals in the search for new physics, especially for those models and events that includes invisible final states and irreducible backgrounds. Upon successful implementation of an effective algorithm that efficiently separate simulated signal from simulated backgrounds, a test on the real data collected by the Belle II detector will be performed.
