SIMULATION OF THE GLOBAL MUON TRIGGER

Abstract:

We present a simulation of the CMS muon trigger system in the barrel region. A detailed analysis of the simultaneous response of the RPC and DTBX triggers to single and multi muons should give an insight in its capabilities and deficiencies. Moreover a Global Trigger algorithm to combine the results of the RPC and DTBX trigger has been implemented and tested and gives promising results.
