main building ("Old University")
of the Academy of Sciences,
performed by the Chamber Music Ensemble of
Niederösterreichisches Tonkünstler-Orchester - a wind octet
(2 clarinets, 2 oboes, 2 bassoons and 2 horns)
led by Prof. A. Hertel. The preliminary programme includes oevres by J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven and F. Schubert in original instrumentation. A cocktail buffet will be offered during the intermission.

at the Senate Chamber of the
City Hall,
offered by the Mayor of Vienna. There will be a dinner buffet, however, in a cocktail-like style; chairs will be provided on request for elderly or disabled persons. |

Admission to above social events is free for registered participants. For accompanying persons, who are kindly invited to join, a lump fee of € 50.- will be charged.

Will be organized by the Parkhotel.
The cost depending on the tour and on the number of people joining,
but expected to be less than € 20.

| informal dinner at a typical Viennese wine tavern ("Heurigen") in nearby Mauer, organized by the LOC. The cost will be about € 20 per person. | ||
These optional events on Thursday afternoon / evening may be organized for those not leaving before Friday 18 November, provided there will be a sufficient number of people joining.
