User profile: 

User data (Desktop, program adjustments, start menu) are stored in the user profile. 
When each logging in into a NT computer the profile stored last onto the NT server is available.  

Caution when logging in into several computers! 
Don't leave large files at the Desktop, since they are transferred with each logout to the NT server.
Don't leave important data at the Desktop, the best way is to save them into the AFS or locally on o: (limited !!!).
At the Desktop only Shortcuts should be available.
