International characters

It is rather inconvenient to input international characters (e.g. ä, Ä) with an US-keyboard. This text describes how to modify your setup to simplify input.

Keyboard-layout: US-International

character press keys
ä "a
Ä "A
ß Hold right ALT s
EUR Hold right ALT CNTRL 5

Setup

  1. Open Control-Panel

    2.  
  2. Open Regional and Language Options
     
  3. Select Languages tab and Details


     
  4. Select United States-International.



    5.  
  5. Select OK on all windows and close Control-Panel.
